I have run out of bone broth. I just don’t feel like making my own. The only store-bought broth I like is from Aldi. But it’s not always available. I seem to always be on the lookout for it to come back.
When I fast, I only drink water, black coffee, bone broth and herbal tea.
Sometimes I just feel too lazy to make my own broth, even though, fortunately, it’s not that hard to make. You basically just need bones, pure water, apple cider vinegar, and some vegetables. You can add seasonings and any gelatinous animal part (like pig feet). I usually use my slow cooker, but you can use an Instant Pot or a regular large stock pot.
I cook my broth for at least 24 hours, up to 40 hours, but you don’t have to cook it that long. Especially, if you’re using an Instant Pot.

Okay, for the good news – I got in three days of fasting this week! Two of those days consecutive. That’s a huge deal for me at this point. Not much else to report. At least nothing keto related. I need to make a dermatology appointment, finish my taxes and get my shingles vaccination (scheduled for tomorrow).
