I have had a small, hard nodule behind my ear but close to my nape for a while. On Wednesday, I had a virtual dermatology appointment. I had to take pictures of the nodule, which is under the skin and difficult to see in the photos. But I had to give it a try. The doctor was pretty sure it’s a cyst. But I can’t do anything about it at this point.
I have another appointment scheduled with a different dermatologist in June, and I’m hoping elective procedures will be allowed by then. In the meantime, I’m hoping the nodule doesn’t grow in size or cause any problems.
I don’t remember, but I’m pretty sure I attempted a fast on Sunday and just couldn’t hold out. That’s where the pecans came in. That’s all I ate that day, but I might as well have allowed myself a full meal, since the fasting was kaput.
But it’s really getting hard. In the beginning of the week, I pretty much give up. I’ve been craving breakfast; can’t hold out past 11:00 a.m. these days.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m also taking the SAM-e for depression. It causes gastrointestinal distress if I take it on an empty stomach (which is recommended). But I know from previous experience that I must have food first. My gut health is not the greatest and I’ve been slacking on my probiotics and prebiotics. I’ll get it together.
