This is the week where I discovered that smoked brats contained more carbs than I thought. I bought a few packs, so I’ll try to consume them strategically, like on the day after a fast. Smoked brats are so quick and easy. I poke a few holes in them and then microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. I like them to split open a bit. I don’t know why, but it seems to make them more flavorful. Two smoked brats with plenty of yellow mustard is one of the least expensive meat choices. Again, just have to watch those carbs.
I am finally back to regular ADF (alternate day fasting). It’s been an uphill psychological battle. But I set the start date and I’m determined. The SAM-e (mood supplement) has kicked in. Now I have to do my part. Which actually means at least 2-3 days each week for starters and not necessarily alternate days.
I successfully fasted Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week!
Some services have reopened in my state, so I spent some time rescheduling cancelled medical appointments. I can get my mammogram on Monday and I’ll finally get to see someone IN PERSON about my cyst next week on Wednesday. This is the “nape nodule” I mentioned in Week 20.
In fact, next week I will go out more than any week since the quarantine began. Besides the appointments, I am planning a bike ride for whatever day it’s warm and doesn’t rain. I’ll run errands after my Wednesday appointment.
